Literature Text

The wolves can do as they like
If they tear me to pieces,
Shortly I’ll be with Jesus.

Wolf, why not become a lamb?
Don’t you see how they die well?
How they can’t be stopped by hell?

I don’t fear what you can do
Though you destroy my body,
My soul is at God’s mercy.

There is still hope for you
You can come out of darkness,
Into Jesus, the righteous.

Get in the Lamb that was slain
Your wolf-like nature He’ll tame,
The throne of your life, He’ll claim.

This, I who was a wolf know
There is no other Shepherd
Who prays for the predators

That they would be born again
That they would forsake their sin
And come and abide in Him.
When I was younger, I nicknamed myself "Twolf." My first email address was wolfmastertwolf@___.com. I was all about wolves. I wrote my first poem on wolves, it was called "Circle of Life, Wolf Style." I remember my friends and I played a game at recess called "Grey Wolves," where we basically just walked around pretending to be wolves, and making up a story for our characters with our imaginations. But now, I no longer think of myself as a wolf, but as a sheep, for the Chief Shepherd has done a mighty work in me for which I am eternally grateful!
